LAS VEGAS – December 7, 2009 – MonteLago Village Resort adds to residents and guests enjoyment with its newly remodeled lobby and wine bar, Acino.
The Resort’s new lobby, designed by Shahin and Asoudeh of the Mizani Design Group, combines warm and inviting colors to create an elegant yet organic atmosphere where guests and residents can relax and unwind. Warm earthtone colored walls give the lobby a peaceful feeling while the crocodile print wallpaper behind the front desk adds a fun, edgy feel.
The lobby’s focal centerpiece is an oversized circular chocolate brown reptile print bench that sits near the front desk to provide a comfortable resting spot for guests as they await check-in. Shahin, who is also a resident, was inspired for the color palette of the lobby by this piece and a large velvet high-backed tufted sofa. The lighting has been adjusted to create a softer glow with unique light fixtures and sconces added throughout. No part of the lobby forgotten, the crown molding on the ceiling has been painted a brilliant golden color. One-of-a-kind, hand-crafted floral displays add hints of vibrant colors for a finishing touch.
“We wanted to give the lobby a warmer feel that made guests and residents comfortable while gathering to relax,” said Nick Darato, general manager of MonteLago Village Resort. “Our goal was to create more space for socializing while maintaining an elegant look.”
Within the Resort lobby is the Acino wine bar with a separate lounging area that has custom upholstered deep armchairs incorporating bronze and metallic colors that blend with the deep chocolate browns of the barstools. Whimsical lamps shaped like dancing figures give the Acino area a carefree feel for guests and residents to unwind. A 40-inch flat-screen television is suspended from the ceiling for those hoping to catch their favorite sporting event and more. This area of the lobby is separated by a custom draped partition in a calming blue tone with hints of deep earthy brown to match the tones in the furniture. An offset patio lets guests and residents enjoy their wine outdoors while overlooking the beautiful gardens and pool.
The lower level of the lobby is flooded with natural light pouring in from floor-to-ceiling windows that are framed by sweeping draperies, similar to the upstairs Acino bar area. Overstuffed couches and high-backed arm chairs create another area where guests and residents can gather. The entire lobby, upper and lower level, is Wi-Fi enabled so that guests and residents have a relaxing place to continue working.
