
WHO:
Founded in July 2009 by Dr. Noah Kohn, Clinics In Schools is a Nevada non-profit corporation (Federal 501(c)(3) status pending) that provides school-based health care to the children of Nevada. The event’s Honorary Chair is Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto. Dr. Kohn is available for interview both prior and on-site.
WHAT:
Recent studies have shown nearly one in five of all children entering kindergarten in Nevada have no form of health insurance. To combat this, the organization Clinics In Schools was formed and is kicking off 2010 with its inaugural fundraiser. The event will feature food by Union Restaurant & Lounge, the new The Light Group restaurant at CityCenter; Cirque du Soleil “O” performers will be in attendance and interacting with guests; and there will be a specialty cocktail provided by Montecristo Rum.
