There’s a new card in town and this time it isn’t for game players. Golden Tavern Group, Nevada’s largest tavern operator, has introduced its Beer & Bites Club.

According to Christopher Abraham, Golden Gaming Vice President of Marketing, the Club is aimed at those who come into the Sierra Gold or PT’S properties for a bite and a drink.  This innovative program will reward frequent customers with special offers, discounts, and credits toward menu items.

The card is good at all 40 Golden Gaming properties.  There is a $5 fee to join the Beer & Bites Club and the tavern reimburses card holders immediately with $10 on the club card.  Guests can enjoy double points on their next visit once the Beer & Bites Club membership is activated.

The food isn’t always what you might expect at a local “pub.” Corporate Chef Joe Romano said that the objective was to develop a menu which included “higher end, but approachable” cost and quality items for the mass market.  Romano worked to develop a food selection which would offer patrons a place to stop for lunch or after work to, “eat interesting food.”

On a recent visit to a Sierra Gold property, this reporter enjoyed sampling their Cajun Style Seared Rare Ahi tuna, served chilled with Asian slaw, cucumber salad and a wasabi cream sauce.

For vegetarians, there are items such as the roasted vegetable pizza, made with roasted red and green peppers, onions, black olives, mushrooms and tomatoes.

For dessert,  PT’s ZOOKIE, can’t be beat. It’s a giant cookie skillet baked and topped with ice cream, finished off with chocolate sauce and whipped cream and the diner’s choice of old-fashioned chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia nut, or peanut butter.

This report thinks the Beer & Bites program is a delicious idea for diners.

  1. So where are these “Sierra Gold or PT’S properties” places?

  2. All over Las Vegas! Must be at least 10 of them :)
