LAS VEGAS- The Doo-Wopp Hall Of Fame Of America® will be making its Las Vegas premier at The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24 according to Harvey Robbins, president and founder. A spectacular five-act concert featuring Hall of Fame inducted recording stars from the 1950’s and early 1960’s will perform at The Venetian Showroom.

“The Venetian is the exclusive Las Vegas home for the Doo-Wopp Hall Of Fame Of America®,” notes Robbins. “The artists of the doo-wopp era have provided millions of music lovers with timeless memories and they deserve to be showcased in Las Vegas—and The Venetian is absolutely my favorite Vegas venue. The show promises to be a love-fest between the singers and the audience.”

Featured in the premier concert will be Jimmy Beaumont and The Skyliners (“Since I Don’t Have You”, “Pennies from Heaven” and “This I Swear”); The Marcels (“Blue Moon” and “Heartaches”); The Legacy of Clyde McPhatter and The Drifters with son Ron McPhatter (“Money Honey”, “Treasure of Love”, “A Lover’s Question”); George Galfo’s Mystics (“Hushabye”); and The Royalty of Rock ‘n Roll All-Stars featuring Billy Davis.

Davis co-composed and played lead guitar on the original recording of “The Twist” with Hall of Famer Hank Ballard and The Midnighters. He was Jimi Hendrix’s first guitar tutor, was Jackie Wilson’s original lead guitarist and played lead on Wilson’s major hit, “Higher and Higher”. He also played lead guitar on “It’s Your Thing” with The Isley Brothers, “Shining Star” with The Manhattans, and “Skinny Legs and All” with Joe Tex.

McPhatter is the son of Hall of Famers Clyde McPhatter, the original lead of The Drifters, and Hall of Fame Atlantic Records legend Ruth Brown. He also played the role of Tony Williams, the original lead singer of The Platters, in the motion picture, “Why Do Fools Fall In Love” alongside Halle Berry. McPhatter’s Hall Of Fame show includes a tribute to Williams and The Platters with his singing of “My Prayer”.

Tickets are priced at $62.50 and $49.50 exclusive of tax and service fees, with a limited VIP ticket to include a meet and greet with the artists at $100.
