*LAS VEGAS* *– April 26, 2010* – Fresh off the heels of a two month-long European trek, multi-platinum recording artist 50 Cent is ready to captivate and connect with American audiences on a personal level with his upcoming 18 *-*city US tour The Invitation. The tour makes a stop at The Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 9:00 p.m. Focusing on a more intimate, unique experience for his fans, The Invitation will feature 50 performing hits spanning his multi-platinum catalogue.

Originally discovered by Run DMC’s Jam Master Jay in 1996, 50 Cent (born Curtis Jackson) began work on his first album, *Power of the Dollar* (1996) with the production team Trackmasters, and their Columbia sub-label. Although the album was never released, several singles were produced, including *“*Thug Love*”* featuring Destiny’s Child.

Through mix tapes, 50 Cent’s New York City rap reputation grew and eventually gained the attention of several record industry executives and artists, including Eminem. Following a bidding war, Eminem eventually signed 50 Cent to Shady/Aftermath, the joint label with partner Dr. Dre.

50 Cent’s song, “Wanksta” was placed on the *8-Mile* movie soundtrack* *and peaked at # 13 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart. His debut album, *Get Rich or Die Tryin’* was released in 2002, selling a record 872,000 albums in the first five days and the first single, “In Da Club” reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart. Other hits from the album included, “21 Questions” and “P.I.M.P,” both of which placed high on the Hot 100 chart.

In 2005, 50 Cent released his second album, *The Massacre,* which debuted at #1 and sold more than 10 million units worldwide. Hit songs included, “Disco Infeno,” “Candy Shop” and “Just a Lil Bit”. His third album, *Curtis*, was released in 2007 and peaked at #2 on The Billboard 200 list. 50 Cent’s most recent studio album, *Before I Self Destruct*, was released in 2009 reaching #2 on The Billboard 200 list.
