LAS VEGAS – May 25, 2010 – The past several months have brought closing announcements of the Ritz Carlton and Casino MonteLago at Lake Las Vegas. However, The Village Lake Las Vegas, a separate entity from both the Ritz Carlton and Casino MonteLago, reiterates that despite the closure of these two operators, the retail shops, restaurants and events at The Village will continue on with business as usual.
“It’s sad to see the Ritz Carlton and Casino MonteLago close, but The Village is still alive,” said Maurice Talley, Commercial Manager of The Village. “The Village continues to drive traffic through events and entertainment, and will continue to do so. We want the local community to know that we are still here, moving forward and would love for them to experience The Village on a peaceful weekday or bustling weekend.”
Located just 17 miles from the heart of Las Vegas, The Village is home to more than 30 unique shopping and dining options and is currently at 91 percent occupancy with its various tenants.
Multiple lodging options are available for guests within The Village and Lake Las Vegas. The Aston MonteLago Village Resort provides two world-class properties within The Village and nearby waterfront area. Aston MonteLago Village Resort offers guests room options from one to three-bedroom units, some located directly within The Village and most with romantic views of Lake Las Vegas. The Resort also operates two meeting facilities and a larger events center located within The Village, making it an ideal location for a business conference or special event.
Vacation Villas provides additional lodging for guests ranging from one-bedroom units to fully-furnished water-front homes. Additionally, Loews Lake Las Vegas is located across from The Village and offers guests a variety of amenities including dining, spa and meeting facilities.
The Village provides a beautiful backdrop for special events and free concerts throughout the year, including “Friday Night Live on the Lake” every Friday; “Jazz on the Lake” every Saturday night; “Movies on the Lake” for families every Thursday night; a live performance by musician Annie Meadows on Friday, June 18; Monthly Wine Walks to benefit New Vista Community beginning again on Saturday, September 18 and much more.
